History is a circle. Tate McRae Born in 2003, her third album draws on music that topped the charts at the time. So Close To What is exuberant and rousing, like Sugababes, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera. Like the aforementioned, McRae is as much a dancer as she is a singer—and those acrobatics resonate in the music. Y2K forever.
